From early on, I knew my path would involve mental health care; as such, the decision to become a Psychiatrist was a calm and confident choice.
I completed my specialist residency at the Lisbon Psychiatric Hospital Center and, over time, I have consistently invested in continuous learning:
Following my interest in eating behavior, I co-founded the DOCA team in 2023, whose mission is to aid in the treatment of these disorders through an integrative approach.
As a Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist, I believe my mission is to create a safe and comfortable place to guide my clients on their path toward a calmer and more balanced life.
About my team
I believe that the care of each client must be based on a relationship of knowledge and trust with their Psychiatrist and Psychologist. This involves multidisciplinary support, combining scientific rigor with respect for the rhythm and time of the person seeking help.

For Marta, the relationship between Psychologist and client must be built on trust and proximity, serving as the foundation for the desired transformation.
Her interest in Psychology stems from her inherent intellectual curiosity but, above all, from the indispensable role Psychology has played—and continues to play—in her own life.
In addition to her clinical experience at the Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Ocidental, Marta holds a post-graduate degree in Eating Disorders from the European University and training in third-generation Mindfulness-based therapies.
Marta is an indispensable member of my team, complementing and adding value to every process she is involved in. She believes that Psychology is a science that changes lives, and she is ready to help change yours too.

Her specialization in Family Therapy is an excellent complement to our team, as is her focus on neurodiversity—specifically ADHD and Autism in adults.
Rute’s training includes: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing); Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies with children, adolescents, and adults; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); International training with Tony Attwood, Michelle Garnett, and via Psychwire in Autism, ADHD, and executive functions.
With Rute, every client is welcomed into a safe and inclusive therapeutic space and supported in their growth and well-being.
Rute is an indispensable member of my team, whose perspective is increasingly relevant and necessary.
